Healing Crisis - Venus Retrograde in Aries & Pisces

Image
Virgo lunar eclipse wave has come through, forcing us to purge, purify, and get rid of impurities that settled in nooks and crevices of our bodies. Mercury, ruler of this eclipse, is now retracing his steps, following Venus in the martial sign of Aries.    I want to get back to Venus and look at her separately, apart from her dance lead, Mars that I wrote about last month. At that time, we were at the beginning of Venus's retrograde journey. Now we're really cooking. Venus is stripped naked. Like Inanna on her way to Ereshkigal, Venus lost of all her power and dignity. She's bruised and aching. During her time in Aries, she's been shedding and burning away what's no longer desired.    The healing crisis comes to my mind when I reflect on this Venus retrograde cycle across Aries and Pisces and the symbolism of these zodiac signs.  Aries, ruled by Mars, brings intensity, heat, and inflammation. In this context, we can see Venus retrograde in Aries symbolica...

Slow-Burning Dance – Mars & Venus Retrograde Story

Image
This was supposed to be Venus retrograde story but I couldn’t possibly leave out the leading man - Mars. Upcoming Venus retrograde is not a solo dance. This is a lover´s dance that has a history.   This is a story of eternal lovers who are going through a transformation. This is a story of masculine and feminine, of fire and water. This is a story of Mars and Venus. Though this archetypal story has no beginning and no end, here we´re going to refer to the period from October 2024 through May 2025. On October 8, 2024, Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer, came together in trine aspect, in waters that are troubled for both lovers. They're both aching with emotion, that's how intensely they feel. It's almost like the external world has to tip-toe around them at times so as not to disrupt this rare moment of deep trust and vulnerability. Trine aspect they engage represents a connection that is freeflowing and supportive. It benefits both partners and brings new opportunities. ...

Warrior at Heart - Mars Retrograde in Cancer & Leo

“I can't go on, I'll go on.” I find this S. Beckett’s quote a perfectly fitting introduction for the ongoing Mars retrograde process. „I can’t but I will.“ We can sense heaviness in those words that is unbearable yet, there is determination, a choice not to give up, to keep going. Mars is always working within the sphere of discomfort where conflict and challenge are present. Mars won’t give us anything for free. We need to fight for it. We need to put a little bit of „blood, sweat, and tears“ into the process. Mars is a great ally when we find ourselves in difficult life circumstances where we need to show courage and perseverance. Mars is about what we desire in life. We need to show up over and over again and burn for what we want. Mars is about a choice. We need to sacrifice to achieve what we desire. Mars Retrograde periods are about comebacks, breakdowns, and reconstructions. During the Mars retrograde periods, we are put to the test.  Mars retrogrades are intense periods...

Summer of Scheherazade’s Tales - Venus Retrograde in Leo

Image
Venus is now preparing for her magical "40 days and 40 nights" backward journey through our sky. The number forty has had great symbolic meaning in Jewish, Christian, Islamic, and other Middle Eastern traditions. Forty is often used to designate important time periods. In Hebrew Bible, rain fell for "forty days and forty nights" during the flood. The Hebrew people lived in the lands outside of the promised land for "forty years". Moses stays on Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights receiving the law. Jesus fasted "forty days and forty nights" in the Judean desert being tempted by Devil. Forty days was the period from the resurrection to the ascension of Jesus. These are just a few examples of the cultural and religious significance of the number 40. What symbolism of 40 in all these stories points to, is the period of preparation, trial and testing that precedes a triumph, a new beginning. Some scholars believe the number 40 was originally sacred to...
