MY APPROACH
I´ve been trained and certified by Adam Elenbaas (Nightlight Astrology) both in natal astrology as well as in a variety of timing techniques.
I graduated from the following courses:
Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic (First-Year Program),
Advanced Hellenistic Astrology (Second-Year Course),
Counseling Skills&Advanced Mentoring in Ancient Astrology (Third-Year Course)
Horary Astrology.
Hellenistic astrology was love at first sight. It allows me to see how each element of this ancient knowledge makes sense individually and how it is part of a beautiful sophisticated mandala.
Hellenistic astrology enables me to see the world as magical in the most ordinary moments of our everyday experiences. Astrology is my everyday spiritual practice.
Here is a summary of the main features of my astrological practice that I use in my readings:
★★★
SEVEN VISIBLE PLANETS
Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. The name of my practice “Star Wanderings” pays tribute to seven traditional planets that I work with. I am not working with outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) in natal astrology. They are essential for me when doing astrological forecasting.
Apart from seven traditional planets, I am also paying attention to the placement of the nodes and Lot of Spirit/Lot of Fortune if relevant. When it comes to the nodes, I don’t view them in the modern evolutionary sense as something to move towards or away from. Rather, I see them as sensitive points that highlight certain areas of our chart and are important indicators of change when activated.
★★★
TRADITIONAL RULERSHIP
I honour traditional rulership where each planet - except the Sun and the Moon - rules two signs. This is different from the modern view of astrology where outer planets are considered as (co) rulers of Aquarius, Pisces and Scorpio. For me, Saturn is the only ruler of Aquarius, Jupiter is the only ruler of Pisces and Mars is the only ruler of Scorpio.
★★★
WHOLE SIGN HOUSE SYSTEM
Hellenistic astrology has been developed using the whole sign house system where each of the twelve houses contains all thirty degrees of one sign so if you are e.g. Taurus rising, your first house starts at 0° Taurus even if your ascendant is at 28° Taurus. I love the simplicity, clarity and beauty of this house system.
★★★
A birth chart is so much more than your personality.
During the reading, you can learn not just about your character and your psychological inclinations but also about your parents, your environment, your partners, your kids and so much more.
★★★
Light and darkness. Good and evil. Order and chaos.
The reason I love Hellenistic astrology so much is that it describes life as we know it, both “good and bad”. I believe that it is not helpful to whitewash our experiences. We often come to reading during challenging times and what we need is to be heard and validated. Astrology can do that by providing insight and offering reflection on both uplifting and challenging parts of our chart.
I use a blend of both traditional and modern timing techniques to pinpoint the most prevalent themes in my clients' lives both at present and looking into the future so that they know what’s coming. I like to look into several timing techniques and apply those that are most relevant:
★ transits from outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) to traditional natal planets
★ eclipse cycles
★ secondary progressions - especially secondary progressed lunar phases
★ annual profections
★ zodiacal releasing
★ solar returns
