Let a New Story Be Born

I often feel like dancing between the worlds though sometimes it might just look like limping to the external world. My dance form has loosened up quite a lot since my younger years when dancing often had a rather performative quality. I tend to dance more for myself now.
This week, at the dance training with my women, our “leading woman” made an announcement about the new choreography for next year: “….each of you should have a solo performance dancing your own personal story…”
Thinking about this new seeding moment, I was thinking how perfect it is for the New Moon in Cancer that has just passed through. Thema Mundi, the symbolic ‘birth chart’ of the world, has the sign of Cancer as its rising sign. This is a place where the spiritual is entering the physical form, where ideas are being incarnated. It is the mother through which our stories pour through - from the darkness of the birth canal out into the light. 

Birth is our first rite of passage where we are at the threshold of life and death. The sign of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, standing in the opposition to the sign of Cancer, is the place where the spirit is leaving its physical form. Saturn is the guardian that is standing on the Great Divide between the visible and invisible, between our physical reality and what’s beyond that.

Capricorn, represented by a Sea Goat, points to this access to both the earthly and the spiritual. Sea Goat has its tail submerged into vast waters of the subconscious, Saturn´s mystical pool. We can enter this place through our dreams, meditation practices and quiet contemplation and Cancer is the gateway through which insights from this still place can flow through and incarnate in our material reality. 

What has been gestating is now being birthed through this lunar portal. Stay open and feel into your body to see what´s coming, what wants to be received.   

Dancing has taught me how to let go of control, how to trust the creative process, how to let the inspiration come in on its own terms and how to be more fluid in general.

Be gentle to yourself and let a new story be born in your life.
