Little World of Virgo Perversions

Yesterday, Mercury initiated the journey through his home territory. The sign of Virgo is the place I call home as well. I thought I let you have a peek into the little Virgo world.

I feel like thoughts must be recorded, anchored in the physical medium in order to stick.

I'm a bit obsessive about note-making and my preferred medium is paper. I feel like the physical act of writing helps me to sort out my thoughts, to efficiently process the information. In fact, I’ve always had to make my own notes to learn anything. By the time I was done writing them, I had a pretty good grasp of the topic I was studying.

I feel incomplete and anxious without a daily planner at my side. Most of the time, it is stuffed with different scraps of paper filled with quotes, insights, tasks, ideas. The cover is embellished with an array of sticky notes. Their location is a clear indication of their utmost importance.

I am a bit perverted about reorganizing them, rewriting them onto a less worn-out sheets of paper, cutting them down to size with scissors, reducing their number to make space for new ones.

Notes often just stay where they are, the silent witnesses of the Mercurial impulse to transfer the knowledge. 

Well, until the day when it is time to get organized. The vision of having stuff sorted into the appropriate folders makes my heart flutter. Sitting on the couch, surrounded by the ocean of paper might seem pretty chaotic but it is a sweet challenge for Virgo. Crumpling the piece of paper that is no longer needed is almost as satisfying as checking things off my to-do list.

Last night I did just that - a big clean-up of my astrological notes. I tossed away some of my early flash cards and the stack of exercises I did from Demetra’s book. It felt good to see how far I’ve come…

…and guess what - I’ve put together new summary tables for planets and signs - in true Virgo fashion.
