High Tide

Fate is heavily permeating our lives, the eclipse season is upon us. We are riding the merry go round, sometimes we get the most exquisite shiny white horse adorned with feathers and gold and the next minute we have to make do with some weird-looking character that no-one wants to ride.

Eclipses are now happening in the signs of Moon’s exaltation and fall - Taurus and Scorpio. Highs and lows, rise and fall. Moon is the environment within which our life is unfolding. Moon is the everchanging unpredictable lady fortune that grants and takes away. We feel the necessity of going down on the fortune wheel in order to be brought up again.

Venus in Scorpio is facing off Uranus in Taurus today.
They are opposing each other. The energy is tense. It feels like before the start of a fight or a game…they are confronting each other. They are brought face to face “to examine each other and to discover the truth” as the meaning of the word confrontation suggests.
This word has its etymological meaning in the idea of borders and bounds and in general in action of assigning limits to something. Saturn is here at play, the Lord presiding over this uncomfortable position where we have to face what’s in front of us. It's hard to stand still, there is pressure and confinement, there is nowhere to escape, a release point is needed.

Uranus is hanging out in Venus's house amped up with the presence of the North Node. This feels electric, the temptation to swing to the other side is great. There is an insatiable urge to fill the cups that have been emptied.

Venus has been through quite a wild ride recently. One moment rises to her high point Libra cazimi moment and the next descends to the dark exile of Scorpio having to immediately go through a deep and painful transformation while trapped in the rough storms of Scorpio eclipse.

This encounter with Uranus is much welcomed. It's intense, exciting, fresh and life-giving. The medicine that is needed when cups are spilled on the ground and Saturn is around the corner to interfere.

Moon has been on a similar journey as Venus, going through a deep transition on its eclipse journey. At the beginning of the next week, it is going to enter Taurean lush fields and hit the high tide, conjoining the North Node and Uranus and opposing the Sun. The powerful moment of culmination, the lunar eclipse in Taurus.

Like these feminine, fortune-bound goddesses, we’ve been through it these past couple of weeks. Moon has been pulling on us. High and low tides have been washing our shores. We’ve experienced a great emptying out recently with the solar eclipse in Scorpio. We’ve been left to explore our bare shores to see what the tide left behind.

The water that flowed back to the ocean is coming back now to cover our shores, to bring new life. The cups that have been emptied will be filled again, with time. All we need to do is to keep the faith and keep walking.

Keep hope alive, keep dreaming.
Petra
