Ever-Changing Currents

Dreams, imagination, fantasy…
Why is the imaginary sphere of our lives often considered to be useless, redundant, suspicious and even dangerous for us adults?
Why is it served to us just as entertainment and/or for „artists only“?
Why is the imaginary sphere not taken seriously?
Why is there no real space for irrationality in adult world?
Why is it only something that is good to stimulate in kids?
Why does it always have to be “either-or”, taken into opposition with “what is”?
Why can’t the irrational coexist alongside “the real thing” that we are so enmeshed in?
Why is it seen as some kind of chimera that takes us away from our righteous serious adult life that is all about tending to our responsibilities?
And if it is so “right and good for us”, then why do we so often become desillusioned by this so-called reality?
What is reality anyway?
I feel like we might not be that sure anymore….
What once felt so firm and solid, written in stone, something we thought is settled, might seem to be shifting.
We are in mutable waters now with Saturn in Pisces, there are many currents that can lead us in many different directions and there are much golden fish to follow….it is a slippery environment.

There are different ways to navigate this environment than we’re taught to trust. Reason and logic can’t do much for us here. Things are blurry underwater, they have different physical properties and they can easily trick us. Sounds, light, and other stimuli move through water differently than air, so we need to employ marine senses that are in tune with the watery world. Check your land-based senses that helped you survive and thrive on land. Imagine how can marine animal sense and interpret the world around them.

Sensing vibrations and motion in the environment around you is crucial. What feels right and what feels off? Where are you right now? Is this environment supportive of you? Who are your allies and where your predators might be lurking?

Saturn´s slow flowing through Pisces is a chance for us to connect with our intuitive self and to become more flexible with the ever-changing currents of our lives. Life is never stagnant. It is a neverending story of destruction and creation. Death gives life and life gives death and both are equally good. We see it beautifully reflected within the Pisces symbolism - two fish swimming in opposite directions, one upwards towards the light and the other downward, towards the darkness. One couldn´t be without the other.

Imagine how liberating it would feel to find comfort in the notion that life is a constant change, forever changing like the stories we live in our imagination. The imaginative sphere is so different from our forward-driven reality. It has its own notion of time contrary to the linear time we’re so accustomed to. Everything that comes into our consciousness has always been here, it existed “since heaven knows when”.  Anytime, we can dip into this pool of limitless possibilities and bring things to existence.

When we look at our lives through a symbolic lens, we can start feeling greater ease about things we experience on an everyday basis and get an understanding of our current situation. Through imagination, through stories we can find a meaning that we so often ache for. But we must be ready for a path with many twists and turns where we might often feel a bit lost and sometimes a bit more hopeful.

I am deep in Saturn Pisces world. The melancholy is taking over. I long for all there is and I am not even sure what it is, all I know is that I want to feel and experience everything. It took me so long to realize how dry my life has been, orderly and controlled, carefully measured bit by bit.

During Saturn in Pisces season, we will be forced to figure out what we really WANT, not what we please. We will have to get serious about our heart´s most genuine desire. And nothing is more difficult than that. It is not something that we can understand just by thinking about it but something we need to experience. Since nothing is there until we´ve wished it, until we give it a name until we´re willing to live it.

“You wish for something, you’ve wanted it for years, and you’re sure you want it, as long as you know you can’t have it. But if all at once it looks as though your wish might come true, you suddenly find yourself wishing you had never wished for any such thing.”
Michael Ende – The Neverending Story
