Wild Dreamscapes of Fallen Virgins - Lunar Nodes in Pisces & Virgo

This month, lunar nodes shifted from Aries - Libra to Pisces - Virgo. After 18,5 years, we have a North Node in Pisces and a South Node in Virgo.

Imagine sitting in a bathtub, having your blissful spa time, candles burning, soft music playing, and water infused with precious essential oils that let you forget about the outside world. You´re just present in a moment, dreaming, indulging your senses.
But then comes the moment when you need to get back to reality, pull out the bath plug and let the water drain. Sitting in the bathtub now feels stressful. You hear the noise of water draining and you see the water level is going down. It feels like your energy is leaking like you´re gonna be sucked into that drain even though it doesn't make sense rationally.
As the water level drops, you start seeing icky stuff that your body left behind on the bottom of the tub. You better get out before the water runs out.

After this divine experience, you have no mental capacity to deal with the rational dimension of the physical world. You feel weirdly drained, pleasantly exhausted, and ready for more sensual experiences.
Welcome to the Pisces–Virgo landscape.

The North Node now occupies Pisces - a feminine, nocturnal sign of Jupiter, exaltation of Venus. There is a hunger for procreation. We´re leaving dry land. Wetness and chaos are coming our way.

For years, I´ve been making different sorts of fermented drinks and it has always been an unpredictable adventure. Even though, you can control the initial conditions – use sterile equipment, source and weigh your ingredients, once you add live bacteria, you have to let go of control and let this wild „seed of life“ do its magic. You need to let life take over and in the end, you might end up with a heavenly fizzy drink or vinegary-smelling thing that you dump in the toilet. Every time you’re going to make another batch, you have to let go of your previous experiences and take the same risk. There are no guarantees that things will work out.

You have to trust that this time, there is a different story. The past does not predict the future. Pisces, the feminine home of Jupiter, asks us to follow the shimmering path of hopeful promise. There are no timelines, no guarantees. All you have is trust.

South Node now occupies the Virgo part of our chart. We're symbolically moving from light to darkness. It is time for cleansing and sorting what we have accumulated. It is time for release, time to give back to Earth and bury things that are weighing us down.
We are confronted with the idea that sometimes good things come from letting go, a foreign concept for this control-loving home of Mercury.

This constellation feels like the moment when the ground falls out from beneath our feet. The most fundamental thing we always count on, the Earth, starts moving. This is a scary territory for Virgo. Virgo holds a great fear of the unknown within, always trying to stay ahead of the game and control the unpredictability of the future by micro-managing any chaotic influences.
With the South Node in Virgo, we come to a point of exhaustion when we realize that no amount of planning will get us where we want to be. We just need to dive in and experience.
As true Virgos, we can be proactive and choose how we respond. We can consciously pull that plug and let our expectations go down the drain rather than being forced by the circumstances.

Nodal activation across Virgo and Pisces brings us the division between the rational-intellectual and the chaotic, sensual, “animal” part of human nature. We might start asking ourselves what makes us human.  We might be questioning our rational attitude to reality and steer towards a felt-sense perception of the world around us.
Dreamy landscapes, represented by the sign of Pisces, provide food for the soul. We are invited to explore wild dreamscapes that threaten our certainties. This configuration is asking us to leave a plan, leave a precalculated life of the modern age, and reconsider our assumptions based on causal mechanisms.

In Pisces part of our chart, we are invited to explore what happens when we let water flow into our life. Imagine hard soil that has been dry for a long time. Dry soil is depleted of nutrients and it barely absorbs water. If you water a dry pot, the water runs straight through. Partially wet soil absorbs more water as water is attracted to water.
Water is essential for life on Earth. Water is essential for us human beings.
Make sure you water your garden regularly, so the water doesn’t run off.
Make sure you nourish yourself so that you can grow things in your life.

The North Node in Pisces is pulling us towards the unknown. Imagine you're standing barefoot on dry land and suddenly feeling your feet being flooded. It might feel uncomfortable and unsettleing at first but give yourself some time - breathe deeply into your belly, ground your body with your hands, and just observe what's happening without the need to act on this sudden change of environment.

How does it feel?
How can you invite water into your life?
How can you nourish your soul while being connected to the earth?

Upcoming eclipses in Virgo - Pisces that activate nodes in respective signs are like a wild, unpredictable storm that will drench the Pisces area of your chart.

Avoid pouring water onto bone-dry soil. Avoid being washed away in a flash flood. Let the water infiltrate your body, let the water flow to your roots and nourish the life within.

Keep hope alive, keep dreaming.
Petra
