All Shades of Weird - Uranus in Gemini

 

On July 7, 2025, Uranus entered Gemini, the airy domicile of Mercury. Uranus, the archetype that represents the principle of freedom and breakthrough, experimentation, and originality is now coupled with his favorite buddy. Mercury/Hermes, the ruler of Gemini, and Uranus are like mischievous buddies that crash every party. Uninvited, they show up whenever they feel like it. They have fun playing pranks on everybody to get a reaction and to stir up the trouble. 
 
This energizing combo screams „Change for the sake of change“. Uranus in Gemini represents a double dose of speed and instability. This is an energy of „anything goes“. There are no limits and no restraints - everything is a possibility.

Uranus and the sign of Gemini share a lightning-quick mind, originality, and inventiveness but at the same time, we might be dealing with overstimulation and nervous restlessness.

Unlike Jupiter though, Uranus doesn’t need to make sense of things nor build a better, more cohesive whole. Uranus is a wild card that brings unpredictable and unexpected. It disrupts and destabilizes to get us out of a rut. Uranus has no plan or direction to follow, he just wants to crumble the old to make space for the new.
 
When Uranus energy is activated in our lives, we become restless. We don’t necessarily know what we want, we just want something different. We crave the change. We crave the movement. We’ve been stuck in the same place for too long. We want change for change even if we have no idea what it brings. 
Uranus transits aren‘t about calculated goals and future achievements nor about what or how. 
They bring a hunger for newness and the thrill of exploration. 
 
Uranus in the mental sign of Gemini is like a really weird and exciting day when a complete stranger wanders into our life and turns it upside down talking about things we never heard of, places we’ve never visited, experiences we haven’t lived through…and once he leaves, we just can’t go back to our old life, we can’t unlearn things, we can’t quiet the excitement rushing through our body when we think about all these new possibilities…..all of the sudden we realize, there is so much more to life and there is no way we can go back to our old ways.
