Don't Let Reason Take Over
We can only do so much - research, rationalize, organize, prioritize in an attempt to cover all possible scenarios, to avoid failure but at some point this endeavor becomes pointless. We come to a point when there is no more we can do. We need to hand our dream to the Universe and say “I gave it my everything, I did my best, it is not in my power to decide the outcome of this, I am handing this over to the higher power - I TRUST, I have FAITH, I BELIEVE.
Constant doubt is the harbinger of growth, prosperity, of wisdom gained over time. Reason and belief, doubt and trust - eternal tension of Mercury and Jupiter.
Mars in Gemini has been tripping backward in its retrograde motion for a while, shapeshifting through Mercury’s territory and setting multiplicity as the current operating mode. You better be ready to act on things when they come up. It is what it is, this is a problem- solving time. Things take twice as much time to figure out and more often then not you’ll have to get back to what you considered to be a done deal. A workaround is your best ally.
And then there is Jupiter in his hopeful, dreamy home of Pisces, pulling on our strings, inviting us to give it a try, give it a thought, just one more time: “Here I am again, remember? Can we get back to our dream? It’s still on, right? Imagine how it would be, imagine how it would feel, you don’t want to let this go just like that…make it happen.
With knowledge inherently comes doubt.
The more we know, the more experiences we gain, the harder it is to trust others, to trust ourselves, to trust things will work out.
When a child is born, there is no doubt. Lunar in nature, in intimate connection with their mother, children are full of trust. As they grow, they explore their surroundings, gather information and experiences, learn and form their own opinions. They start to question things.
Sagittarius season
In my part of the world, we celebrate Christmas at this time.
When my kids were little, they simply believed the presents are delivered by this mysterious Christmas character. They didn’t need to know anymore. It was a magical law no one could possibly threaten. As they grew older, they started to ask questions about how that “works” - how can he manage to get all presents in time, how does he enter the house, why do I have to stay at the Christmas tree while they are patiently waiting until the bell rings? As they aged they were voicing their doubt but I felt they still wanted to believe. This Christmas season, the reason claimed its victory. All of a sudden I knew. It was crystal clear they know and they have no interest to go back.
At a certain point, the reason takes over.
Don’t let reason take over your dream.
“We cannot create the future if we do not believe in it”. (Thank you Diana Rose)
We cannot analyze belief and we cannot understand faith. We cannot nurture our life if we keep doubting ourselves.
The more we look for proof, for certainty, the less we believe.
I’ve been revisiting some precious Piscean dream of mine lately. And I almost gave it up.
I decided to give it a try this time around.
I decided that I’d rather regret what I did than what I haven’t even tried.
Keep hope alive, keep dreaming.
