No Rebel Sticker for Uranus

Venus is just a couple of degrees away from the conjunction with Uranus. Do you feel the tension rising? I do. The urge to rebel, to break away, to go into opposition, to stand on the other side of what was established, what was defined as a norm, as comfort, as status quo.
Some time ago, I´ve heard this eye-opening notion that a rebel is no different than its oppressor than the thing he is rebelling against as they are both standing on the extreme side of reality and neither of them is willing to budge. How true. WOW.

It made me think about the rulership of the sign of Aquarius, the airy, masculine home of Saturn, and the hard aspect of opposition being of a Saturnian nature. The Aquarian principle is deeply ingrained in the dogma of its own conviction. Aquarians define themselves by standing against what has been established. They are often standing apart from the crowd that is not commited to their doctrines.

In modern astrology, Uranus is said to be the ruling planet of Aquarius. Having experienced some Uranus transits, I believe that Uranus cannot be contained within the monochrome categories of Aquarian archetype.

Uranus is not a ruler. He just doesn´t care.
He cannot be tied down.
He cannot be contained within the opposition of a rebel. 
He is so much more than that. 
The rebel label is just too restrictive and it is so boring!

Uranus craves novelty in any shape or form. If I had to describe Uranus in traditional astrological language, it would be Mercury and Mars in a hard aspect, not surprisingly my natal signature. 

Uranus is a hell of a trickster that likes to get things moving in a big way.
Just shake it up, it has been stagnant for way too long.
It will be fun to see what comes out!
Well, maybe, Mr. Uranus but we give you credit for feeling unsettled…

With Venus exploring Uranus neighborhood at the moment, expect surprises in the Taurus area of your chart and in general expect sudden twists and turns in area of love, beauty, relationships, women, sisters, pleasure…

And remember, surprises may not always be what you were looking for as Voltaire puts it: „The husband who decides to surprise his wife is often very much surprised himself.“
