Delayed Satisfaction - Capricorn ♑

Image
Astrologically, January is connected with the sign of Capricorn, the home sign of the planet Saturn. Imagine a countryside in winter. Fields lie bare after harvest, and the ground is frozen. The trees stand bare without their leaves, with their branches exposed. It feels quieter, the nature is resting. There are fewer colors, and their shades are muted. There are fewer distractions. What stands out vividly now is the texture, shapes, and overall structure of the world around you. You can see what’s really hardy and what is fragile. What is there to stay, and what easily succumbs to a frost. The world around you seems to be stripped of life. This time of the year is about hardiness and necessity, but it is also a favorable time for reflection and quiet contemplation. Capricorn season represents a contracting energy that is pulling us inwards, making us look at where we’re putting our energy, what we’re managing and building in our lives, and what structural support we have available....

Feeling is Believing - Saturn ♓ & Jupiter ♋ & Water Trines

Image
Saturn and Neptune are back in Pisces, and Jupiter is in Cancer. These planets are engaged in a powerful, long-lasting trine, and together they provide an anchor to a powerful grand water trine in the sky, with faster moving planets coming through the sign of Scorpio.  The water element is feminine in nature. Feminine energy is about emotional sensitivity, boundlessness, flow, and receptivity.  Energetically, we might feel like circumstances are constantly shifting around us. Nothing is solid, things are dissolving and taking shape at the same time, like when we´re walking through a thick fog and we see things in our surroundings taking shape in front of us and dissapearing back into the invisible realm. Coming from October into November, the reality feels like an impressionistic painting, like a huge canvas filled with visible, broken brushstrokes of pure unmixed colors. The resulting image is more about capturing a fleeting sensory experience, the uniqueness of the cu...

Echoes From the Past - Saturn&Neptune ♓ &Uranus ♉

Image
We´re back. It seems like the ground has shifted in the past few weeks. We find ourselves in the familiar terrain, terrain that we traversed heavily in the winter and spring of this year. I´ll be dropping dates here and there, but the timeline is not important. What matters is our humane experience. On September 1, Saturn returned back to Pisces. Saturn is bringing back the lessons we’ve taken a break from at the end of May. At the time, it felt like we had reached the limit. We assumed it’s done once and for all. But it’s not. Not yet. A Piscean story in our lives needs some distance and time. And this is where Saturn comes in as the lord of necessity, limits, and time. Time provides much-needed space for pause, reflection, and appreciation for what we´ve been through.  We've been in this space before; we know this, yet it feels somewhat different now. So much has happened in between. New has been a theme of the summer months. We had a chance to enter new, exciting worlds and...

New Moon in Leo

Image
Some time ago, I asked my son how he would describe me: "You like to do things your way and you're wild," he said. I was stunned, as this is not the way I see myself in public. I usually let out my Leo side in private where it's safe. People who don’t know me have no idea about my wild side. No wonder. It’s tucked away in a dark closet of my 12th house, a place of loss, suffering, and self-sabotage. And isolation, fear, and all that good stuff…   I’ve always loved this fiery part of me. This wild, all-consuming energy that rushes through my body. I feared it at the same time. I’ve always craved to be seen and appreciated, but when I got the attention, I didn’t know what to do with it.    Confidence is often stereotypically tied with Leo archetype, but from my experience, Leo part of our charts (everyone has Leo house in their chart) is often a place of shame and guilt. It is a place where we hold lots of fear and where we need to grow our confidence.   Leo energy is ...

All Shades of Weird - Uranus in Gemini

Image
On July 7, 2025, Uranus entered Gemini, the airy domicile of Mercury. Uranus, the archetype that represents the principle of freedom and breakthrough, experimentation, and originality is now coupled with his favorite buddy. Mercury/Hermes, the ruler of Gemini, and Uranus are like mischievous buddies that crash every party. Uninvited, they show up whenever they feel like it. They have fun playing pranks on everybody to get a reaction and to stir up the trouble.    This energizing combo screams „Change for the sake of change“. Uranus in Gemini represents a double dose of speed and instability. This is an energy of „anything goes“. There are no limits and no restraints - everything is a possibility. Uranus and the sign of Gemini share a lightning-quick mind, originality, and inventiveness but at the same time, we might be dealing with overstimulation and nervous restlessness.  Our mind comes to the forefront and becomes a source of excitement. We get fascinated by tho...

Soft Animal of Your Body - Jupiter in Cancer

Image
„Welcome magic and wonder Brilliance and grace Welcome joy, satisfaction Pleasure and strength Welcome essence, beauty, presence Time, spirit, form, and space Welcome excellence in every blessing Sacred and pray…“.            (I AM – Beautiful chorus, feat. India Arie )   On June 9, 2025, Jupiter is entering Cancer. We are turning a new, hopeful, chapter in the lunar part of our charts. I feel that the arrival of great benefic into the sign of its exaltation will be extra potent. We´re moving from Jupiter in Gemini, a masculine, mental sign of Mercury where Jupiter is in its detriment to Cancer, a feminine, fertile sign of the Moon where Jupiter is exalted.  Jupiter's journey through the intellectual sign of Gemini has delivered multiple resources at our disposal and a large amount of data to sort through. The right piece of information felt like our saving grace. This transit of Jupiter brought a kind of a scientif...

Fighting for Life - Mars Opposite Pluto

Image
On April 27, 2025, we are facing the third and final opposition of Mars and Pluto at 3° of Leo and Aquarius.  When Mars and Pluto are engaged in a harsh aspect of opposition, it is like a face-off where two power players are trying to gain control. Imagine two boxers before their showdown in the ring. They're stating their position by hurling insults and threatening each other.   There is no room for pause. There is no room to catch a breath. You have to pay attention at all times otherwise your opponent takes advantage of the situation. Opposition is a push-pull relationship.  Opposition is about tension that can't be reconciled.  Opposition of Mars and Pluto brings urgency to our actions. When Mars and Pluto are involved in a tense aspect, it often feels like a survival mode – DO or DIE. Imagine unbearable pressure. It feels crushing like it's going to break you. At that moment, your instinct either kicks in and you’re going to fight for your life or you re...

Healing Crisis - Venus Retrograde in Aries & Pisces

Image
Virgo lunar eclipse wave has come through, forcing us to purge, purify, and get rid of impurities that settled in nooks and crevices of our bodies. Mercury, ruler of this eclipse, is now retracing his steps, following Venus in the martial sign of Aries.    I want to get back to Venus and look at her separately, apart from her dance lead, Mars that I wrote about last month. At that time, we were at the beginning of Venus's retrograde journey. Now we're really cooking. Venus is stripped naked. Like Inanna on her way to Ereshkigal, Venus lost of all her power and dignity. She's bruised and aching. During her time in Aries, she's been shedding and burning away what's no longer desired.    The healing crisis comes to my mind when I reflect on this Venus retrograde cycle across Aries and Pisces and the symbolism of these zodiac signs.  Aries, ruled by Mars, brings intensity, heat, and inflammation. In this context, we can see Venus retrograde in Aries symbolica...

Slow-Burning Dance – Mars & Venus Retrograde Story

Image
This was supposed to be Venus retrograde story but I couldn’t possibly leave out the leading man - Mars. Upcoming Venus retrograde is not a solo dance. This is a lover´s dance that has a history.   This is a story of eternal lovers who are going through a transformation. This is a story of masculine and feminine, of fire and water. This is a story of Mars and Venus. Though this archetypal story has no beginning and no end, here we´re going to refer to the period from October 2024 through May 2025. On October 8, 2024, Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer, came together in trine aspect, in waters that are troubled for both lovers. They're both aching with emotion, that's how intensely they feel. It's almost like the external world has to tip-toe around them at times so as not to disrupt this rare moment of deep trust and vulnerability. Trine aspect they engage represents a connection that is freeflowing and supportive. It benefits both partners and brings new opportunities. ...

Wild Dreamscapes of Fallen Virgins - Lunar Nodes in Pisces & Virgo

Image
This month, lunar nodes shifted from Aries - Libra to Pisces - Virgo. After 18,5 years, we have a North Node in Pisces and a South Node in Virgo.    Imagine sitting in a bathtub, having your blissful spa time, candles burning, soft music playing, and water infused with precious essential oils that let you forget about the outside world. You´re just present in a moment, dreaming, indulging your senses.  But then comes the moment when you need to get back to reality, pull out the bath plug and let the water drain. Sitting in the bathtub now feels stressful. You hear the noise of water draining and you see the water level is going down. It feels like your energy is leaking like you´re gonna be sucked into that drain even though it doesn't make sense rationally.  As the water level drops, you start seeing icky stuff that your body left behind on the bottom of the tub. You better get out before the water runs out.    After this divine experience, you have no men...

Warrior at Heart - Mars Retrograde in Cancer & Leo

Image
“I can't go on, I'll go on.” I find this S. Beckett’s quote a perfectly fitting introduction for the ongoing Mars retrograde process. „I can’t but I will.“ We can sense heaviness in those words that is unbearable yet, there is determination, a choice not to give up, to keep going. Mars is always working within the sphere of discomfort where conflict and challenge are present. Mars won’t give us anything for free. We need to fight for it. We need to put a little bit of „blood, sweat, and tears“ into the process. Mars is a great ally when we find ourselves in difficult life circumstances where we need to show courage and perseverance. Mars is about what we desire in life. We need to show up over and over again and burn for what we want. Mars is about a choice. We need to sacrifice to achieve what we desire. Mars Retrograde periods are about comebacks, breakdowns, and reconstructions. During the Mars retrograde periods, we are put to the test.  Mars retrogrades are intense periods...

Generators of Power - Mars in Leo & Sun in Scorpio

Image
Leo and Scorpio. It feels like they couldn’t be more different. Whenever we think about things being in a difficult relationship, astrologically, these two are in square aspect, we assume that all they can do is just escalate the conflict and further worsen whatever issue they‘re both involved in. Is it the only way we can think about these two?   Leo and Scorpio are both solid signs expressing most intensely the nature of the season they represent. Whenever these two come together, we´re dealing with light and dark dynamics, we’re dealing with contrasting themes of what’s visible versus what’s hidden. They have no exaltation ruler which, in my opinion, grants them with further notion of sovereignty over the area they rule. They are places of concentrated power. They are about dominance and authenticity though their expression are quite different. They are both bestial signs represented by 4 footed animals – a Lion and a Scorpion. They are both deadly. But even the most lethal beas...
